The hinge is morticed into the door and frame edges to the depth of the hinge leaf, then secured using the fixing screws supplied, ensuring all hinges on the door are fitted with the same orientation.
Finished in Matt Black, this item should be wiped with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to keep the surface clean, avoiding abrasive cleaners which could damage the finish. Check that hinges remain correctly aligned and that fixing screws are tight at least once a year. If the hinge becomes stiff, apply a small amount of fine machine oil or a PTFE-based lubricant to the knuckle joint and wipe away any excess.
