Installation & Maintenance

Before ordering, confirm the handing of your door. Standing inside the property facing the door: if the door is hinged on the left and opens inward, it is left handed; if hinged on the right and opens inward, it is right handed. If the door opens outward, the handing is reversed. Also confirm the backset (the distance from the door edge to the centre of the handle spindle) matches 45mm before fitting.

The lock case fits into a mortice in the door edge, with the two hook bolts engaging keeps fitted to the frame at the locking point distances shown on the lock (720mm and 770mm from the centre case). Turning the key 720 degrees engages or disengages the deadbolt and both hooks together.

To keep the mechanism operating smoothly, apply a small amount of light lock lubricant, such as PTFE or graphite-based lubricant, to the keyway and moving parts periodically, and avoid oil-based lubricants which can attract dirt. Check that keeps remain correctly aligned, and do not force the key if resistance is felt.
