Fire door coordinators help to ensure the correct shutting sequence of self-closing fire doors. Coordinators eliminate the risk of overlapping double fire doors, making them essential for fire safety. However, these must be installed properly to ensure their effectiveness.

These are adjustable for both closing ways and come complete with fixing templates and instructions to ensure correct fitting.

Materials.

Instructions.
Step 1. Remove the coordinator bracket from the body, which holds the tuflok screw.
Step 2. Choose the desired template and place it at the top of the door. Ensure that the centre line of the template is correctly positioned and then, mark the screw centres.
Step 3. Screw the coordinator bracket to the top of the door frame using round head screws.
Step 4. Slide the coordinator body and the arm assembly onto the bracket. Secure these using the tuflok screw.
Step 5. Screw the 3-hole right angle onto the first closing door using two flat head screws. Only screw the top and bottom openings.
Step 6. Screw the rebate block to the second closing door, making sure the back toggle of the rebate block is roughly aligned with the centre of the 3-hole right angle.
Step 7. Fix impact plate A on the centre point where the black toggle catches on the door’s rebate.
Step 8. Secure impact plate B where the arm of the coordinator hits the second closing door.
Step 9. Do the necessary checks and adjustments to make sure the door coordinator is working properly.
